We are delighted that TORGOEN Swiss Professional Pilot Watches are now available to purchase from our showroom. The beauty of these watches is the simplicity of their design and simplicity of manufacture, all Swiss Made with the assurance of quality movement.
A spokesman from Torgoen said, "Our commitment to the highest quality standards is uncompromised in every step of the manufacturing process. Each and every watch passes strict quality control procedures to ensure precision, water resistance and endurance. The watches are tested under various extreme conditions including temperature variation, dust, humidity, impact and vibration".
We are very pleased to have these new watches sitting alongside the stunning jewellery within the showroom, and of course our watches by Alessandro Baldieri. Collette Waudby
We are very pleased to introduce the beautiful work of Collette Waudby to our showroom. Collette trained at the Birmingham School of Jewellery, graduating in 2005, and now has a workshop in the historical Birmingham Jewellery Quarter. Her collection includes necklace and earring sets, bangles and bracelets in both gold and silver.
Collette draws inspiration from both organic and manmade sources, each piece of jewellery aiming to convey elements of symmetry, space and balance. We have a selection of Collette's pieces here at the showroom, so please pop in soon to take a look before the Christmas rush begins!

Opal Day 
We are delighted to announce that, in the midst of our year of celebrations,
we are having a day full of Opals. This Saturday 20th August from 10am until
5pm, we will be welcoming to the shop Debbie Goode of 'Opalink' from Byron Bay
in Australia. Debbie will be bringing with her a magnificent collection of Opal
- large and small - which will be available to buy on the day at incredible
prices.
Pop along and discover the stunning world of Opal, as well as the colour spectrum that makes them so magical!

After much anticipation, we are pleased to announce that our new limited edition Alessandro Baldieri watches have arrived! The Palombari, pictured
here, is one of the most exclusive watches in the collection. It has a

21 Years Young!
We are drawing nearer to our
21st year of trading and to celebrate, we are holding a Party and
Private View. This will take place on Friday 15th April from 6-9pm and
the celebrations will continue during the day on Saturday 16th.
The event will not only commemorate our 21st year in business,
but it it a great opportunity to unveil our newly refurbished showroom!
We will also be revealing a signature necklace called 'Magnificence',
designed and created especially to celebrate the occasion.
The Private View on Friday evening is by invitation only so if

Christmas on St Catherine's

Wednesday 17th November, the shops of St Catherine's in Frome will be
opening until 8pm. This is the perfect opportunity to start your
Christmas shopping and visit some of the unique shops on the hill. Why

We are very
excited to be launching our first range of ethical and recycled
jewellery. Chaos Jewellery, a collaboration of three friends united in
their love of jewellery, use recycled gold and silver to create elegant,
contemporary designs with prices ranging from around £75 - 250.

We have
recently been visited by a mystery shopper on behalf of the Platinum
Guild who (we are delighted to say!) have found that we continue to meet
their high professional standards. We have therefore been awarded the
title of Recommended Retailer for 2011/12.

A Farewell to Jen from Annette
I would like to wish
our lovely assistant Jennie every success in the future as she leaves
us at the end of August for pastures new.
Some of your may know of Jennie's passion for the sea and sailing, well finally the pull of the ocean has become too great and she is looking forward to pursuing her passion with some crewing work and hopefully visiting some beautiful places along the way.
Jennie is a very talented Jeweller and has not hung up her tools, so I look forward to a day in the future when I will be able to invite her back to the shop to exhibit a range of her own work.
In the meantime I would like to personally wish Jennie every success in the future, and thank her for all the hard work and dedication she has shown whilst working for me. She will be greatly missed...

Congratulations Annette & Nigel!
Congratulations and best wishes to newlyweds Mr & Mrs Gabbedey-Bowers, who tied the knot on 19th June 2010.
Annette and Nigel's wedding day was a truly memorable occasion filled with lots of unique designer touches, from Annette's beautiful lace dress, handmade by her mother June, to her bespoke veil by Lucy Hayes and of course the wedding jewellery, designed and handmade by the bride herself. Annette's organic shaped bangle was perfectly complemented by the solid yet elegant design of Nigel's 18ct yellow gold wedding band. Both pieces are stunning, but this goes without saying! Also unique is the way in which this special day was captured, through detailed illustrations by the talented Sarah Godsill.
Annette and Nigel, congratulations once again and may you have a very happy future together.

On 9th March, Annette joined King of Watches Alessandro Baldieri to launch his exclusive,
designer collection in Frome. During the press launch, Alessandro said
of the watches, "They are designed from the heart with enduring
principles of longevity, so it is important to me to have them
recognised by a fellow jewellery designer and to have found one as
talented as Annette is a particular honour for me."
As the first stockist in South West England, Annette aims to bring the best of international design to her shop at an affordable price and, with prices starting at £225.00, she certainly has!

Annette joins forces with the "Lord of the rings"
From
Saturday 5th December until the lights go out on Christmas Eve, the
shop on Catherine Hill will be bursting with "colour carats and
charisma" (Vogue), as Annette teams up with internationally renowned local jewellery designer, Tom
McEwan, to bring you a riot of imaginative and stylish jewellery.
In addition to Annette's own collection of individually crafted pieces, Tom will be showing a selection of rings, necklaces and bracelets, featuring the highest quality gemstones set with his own irreverent twist and flair. A complement to Annette's more ascetic style, Tom's statement pieces combine classically cut gems with extravagant settings and glamorous designs.

Infused with Desire
For the first time since its inception four years ago, Annette will be taking a stand at the UK's only mixed media jewellery and silversmithing consumer exhibition, The Desire Show.
Showcasing the newly-launched Arum Collection, Annettewill be welcoming visitors to her stand at the exhibition, which will be held in The Guildhall, Winchester from Friday 27th to Sunday 29th November. Frome Festival Treasure Hunt
An elegant opal pendant designed by Annette was the prize for this year's Frome Festival Treasure Hunt.
Approximately 100 people entered the event, which was organized by Gary
Hopkins, Phil Bishop, John Leighton of Warminster Press and Annette herself.
The prize, a sterling silver and 18-carat yellow gold pendant set with a beautiful boulder opal, was presented to Mrs Linda Wynne whose winning entry was drawn by organizers on Friday 17th July.

Diamonds are for charity
Annette's jewellery took centre stage at a special event in June of this year, organized by the Somerset Community Foundation to raise money for a number of local charities. The Diamond and Tweed Charity Ball was held at the height of the summer at Marston house, where 200 guests enjoyed palatial surroundings and sampled the best hospitality Somerset has to offer.
The highlight of the evening was the AnnetteGabbedey Raffle. A handmade 18-carat yellow and white gold pendant, designed and created by Annette especially for the raffle, raised £2,500, the entire sum going to charity.
